My name is Atallah Faraj. I was born in Wadi rum and I grow and lived there.
The desert and the life learned me how to deal with all the desert activities , especial the desert tourism. I am an experienced desert guide and owner of a desert camp run by me. I hold the license as desert guide and owner of a desert tourist camp in Wadi rum Protected Area.
I offer the tourist my desert service, as guide, for camping, camel tour, jeep tour, trekking. A good Bedouin staff helps me.

wadi rum

Wadi Rum, also known as the Valley of the Moon, is a protected area covering 720 square kilometers of dramatic wilderness. The largest Wadi (valley) in Jordan, Wadi Rum is one of the most outstanding desert landscapes in the world. Stunning in its natural beauty, Wadi Rum epitomizes the romance of the desert.
There are mountains in the desert, for example Jabal Rum culminates at 1754 meters above sea level, and is the highest mountain in central Rum and the second highest in Jordan. Some important spots have made Wadi Rum a famous place for movie makers. Lawrence of Arabia (1962) was filmed mostly on location in Wadi Rum. Lawrence's Spring is a spring from whose location you have a great vantage point for enjoying awe inspiring views. A natural arch suspended over the Wadi and a narrow canyon are other attractions. Bedouin, Nabatean, Thamadean and pre-Islamic inscriptions are carved into the sandstone in many different places.
But the most interesting part of the visit is the desert stillness, and in order to enjoy it completely, you have to leave the village. There, sleeping in the open, wrapped in a blanket of stars, is a wonderful experience, because the desert is so quiet that it can resound and the only sound that could be heard is the singing of the Bedouin. Above all that, sunset and sunrise in pure air are wonderful.
Now the home of several Bedouin tribes, Wadi Rum has been inhabited for thousands of years.

Many wonderful programs, amazing desert views, massive mountains, magnificent sunrises and sunsets, fascinating desert creatures, ancient inscriptions, springs, canyons, sand dunes, camel rides, trekking in the open desert and scrambling and climbing the rock bridges and mountains.

The best way to explore the miracle of the mountains, with their breath-taking desert landscapes, colours and rock formations that everyone should experience at least once is by one of our desert activites and desert tours .
